We are looking for a part-time Barista Chocolate Specialist to join our team. We are Portland-based company focused on manufacturing and serving a variety of chocolate, coffee and vanilla products.
The main responsibilities behind this role are:
- Greeting and helping customers place an order at our retail counter
- Assisting customers with questions or reasonable requests
- Provide guidance for purchase of retail items
- Lead in-store tastings
- Preparing chocolate, coffee, tea, and other beverages
- Restocking products and supplies in coordination with back-of-house (boh)
- Scooping ice cream
- Serving pastries
- Baking cookies as needed throughout the shift
- Assisting with shop closing and opening tasks as needed
- General cleaning of the retail and work areas
- Familiarizing and tasting new menu items as they become available
- Settling the cash register at opening or close
- Taking orders at our retail shop, preparing beverages, serving pastry and ice cream
- Assisting back of the house staff with tasks such as packaging, light food prep, and clean-up
- Washing dishes and equipment throughout and at the end of the shift
- Communicating with management about inventory and restocking requests
Compensation ranges between $16.50-17.50/hr based on experience + pooled tips.
Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday 3pm-9pm.
