Job Description

Summary

Assistant Teachers are responsible for assisting the classroom Lead Teachers with general supervision and management. They must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, and be able to relate well with children. This position is part time with flexible hours. GREAT for a college student looking to gain some experience or build their resume.

This position is a floating position and may be located at either our main center or school age location.

Great for a student looking to gain experience with children and add to their resume!

These positions have the opportunity to receive some work hours right away or extend into the fall semester if desired. 

Education and Psychology students can also talk to their advisors on how to earn college credit while also earning a wage!

Duties

• Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the Lead Teacher
• Supervise activities and ensure safety
• Maintain daily open communication with families
• Help children establish good habits of personal hygiene; change diapers and assist with toilet training
• Help to maintain a neat and organized center
• Interacting with children in a positive and educational way
