Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join a thriving Northwest-grown manufacturer as a truss builder. This role is physically demanding, requiring standing, kneeling, and constant movement, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds or more. You will work alongside a cutting department that provides pre-cut wood, which you will assemble and nail together using a hammer and nail gun. Once assembled, a press secures the truss, and the process begins anew.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and nail trusses using a hammer and nail gun.
• Work closely with the cutting department to receive pre-cut wood.
• Ensure trusses are securely clamped by operating a press.
• Lift and move heavy materials as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience with nail guns and hammers.
• General production and labor.
• Understanding of construction principles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift operation training provided after conversion.

Work Environment

Work in bays that are weather-exposed, requiring warm attire in winter and cool attire in summer. Slip-resistant boots are necessary, but shorts and t-shirts are acceptable. The environment supports a casual yet safety-conscious dress code.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tumwater, WA.

The pay range for this position is $24.50 - $24.50/hr.
